MSI's Black Creativity program celebrates African American achievements in science, technology, engineering, art, and medicine. It offers a wide range of specific and culturally relevant STEM education programs, supported by the Museum's Welcome to Science Initiative. Being a black creative means being present and demanding to be seen, always. So how can the creative industry better support black creatives? At Black Creatives, our mission is to create sustainable pathways to resources for black creatives and to provide them with personal, professional, creative, and economic support.
We are not just a list; we are an exclusive network of talent agencies serving more than 15,000 creatives, entrepreneurs, and business partners around the world. We invite you to join us and access our resources. We have also leveraged the voice of media and public relations to influence lawmakers' action. For the past five months, students from the Longy School of Music, the New England Conservatory, and the Boston Conservatory at the Berklee Black Student Unions have gathered for scholarships, mentoring, learning, and creation. Black Creative Group is a black-owned marketing agency that specializes in helping clients reach diverse consumers through culturally relevant messaging, marketing, and design.
We take seriously the privilege we have to detail the experience of black people through our words. Having space for black creatives to express their concerns allows organizations to see where the disconnections are and what they can do as an organization to repair this disconnect. Being a black creative means paving the way for others to have the ability to speak in spaces that weren't always designed to include voices like ours. It is about being present and demanding to be seen. It is about creating sustainable pathways to resources for black creatives and providing them with personal, professional, creative, and economic support.
